"LOST LOVE" by Mr. Silent

Back in the days everything was all good,
we lived on the same block, claimed the same hood.
Everyone thought we were gonna end up together,
my name and her name in a heart saying forever.

Days rolled into months and soon to years
we both had fun times as the same we shed tears
My friends tease me a lot saying I'm all whooped,
you would be too if you knew how she looked.

Angel-like face belonging to the sky,
that's why when I look up I always sigh.
I kept asking the angels up above,
is it lust? or is it true love?

The first year went on to the second,
I loved her so much that I got her pregnant.
We told her parents but they all flipped out,
so at age fifteen they straight kicked us out.

I was looking for a job but it was hard for me,
nobody wants to hire at age fifteen.
I had to make money so I slang some rocks,
being chased by cops runnin' blocks and blocks.

My friends say why don't I stay in school,
but I can't you see, got a baby coming soon.
I want to show her the man I could really be,
the one that can hold responsibility.

Maybe someday she could be my wife
and live together for the rest of our lives.
Six months later and she's kind of showing,
my hand on her belly and I'm just hopin'

that I can be the best father in the world,
whether it comes out a baby boy or girl.
Reminising on the first day we met,
it was getting kinda cold so we left,

back to our place to warm ourselves up,
on our way back we seen a pick up truck.
inside the truck, two vatos lookin crazy,
one staring at me and the other at my lady.

I went over to say what's up
but my lady was she tried to shut me up.
she looked into my eyes and said please don't go,
those days are gone, there's nothing you need to show.

I walked away punked out quick,
just then , I heard his gun go click-click.
My lady and I started to walk faster
fool steps out the truck with mouth full of laughter.

I hear the gun shoot out those rounds
as I cover my lady we both fall to the ground.
Gunshots stopped, truck left the site,
I checked to see if my lady's alright.

Something was wrong she wasn't up from the ground
all I see is red drops falling down.
Turned her over just to see her face
but all I see was a bullethole taking its place.

Everything just then, happened n so fast,
can't believe our happiness ended with a single gunblast.
I lie with her in the middle of the street,
my eyes were red and my knees felt weak.

Can't understand why exactly what they did,
Rest in Peace to my girl and our unborn kid.
