Have you ever felt, the cold and lifeless hand of an infant, gazed into their unblinking eyes, and observed the face of death, when masked in bittersweet innocence?

Have you ever touched your dreams, and felt the simplistic joy, of feeling them become reality, only to abandon them, for reasons you cannot explain?

Have you ever watched your family, who once shared the greatest of loves, suffer an unforgettable and unforgivable tragedy, that will slowly, painfully, and inevitably, tear them all apart?

Do you know, firsthand, the evil that resides deep within the heart of every man, every woman, and every child?
Have you seen its face as it randomly seeks, a soul to torment and destroy?

Do you know the darker side of life, the one that awakens you, in the still of the night, crying to the unknowable God's, ‘Save me from myself. '?

Does your heart constantly question, whether humanity is obtainable, in a world corrupted with suffering, and where war, is the favoured solution for peace?

If you really want to know me, and understand the forces that compel me to move on, then take these questions, and take this pain, for this who I am.

$20 -

A well known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a $20. In the room of 200, he asked, "Who would like this $20?"

Hands started going up.

He said, "I am going to give this $20 to one of you but first, let me do this." He proceeded to crumple the bill up. He then asked, "Who still wants it?"

Still the hands were up in the air.

"Well," he replied, "what if I do this?" And he dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe. He picked it up, now crumpled and dirty. "Now who still wants it?"

Still the hands went into the air.

"My friends, you have all learned a valuable lesson. No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth $20. Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way. We feel as though we are worthless. But no matter what has happened to us or what will happen, you will never lose your value in Gods eyes. To him, dirty or clean, crumpled or finely creased, you are still priceless. The worth of our lives comes not in what we do or who we know, but by who we are." submitted by LatinMischief

With Just One Kiss
There's just something about those eyes...

Our eyes met. but it wasn't just any casual look my eyes happened to encounter. the pair of eyes staring back at me seemed to look at me and mine seemed to look back in a way that i could not explain. some kind of feeling that was strange to me, because it was foreign...unknown...

Neither of us gave it too much thought...though deep down inside something didn't let that first encounter get out of our minds. I didn't really even admit to myself or my friends that i was very interested in this guy....and he the same. we were just 'friends'...we casually flirted...more than with any of our other mutual friends, but we still wouldn't admit to each other what was happening. i didn't think he would see me more than just a friend...he the same. we didn't know what was happening, but we knew we liked it. even after our lips decided to take that extra step and meet each other in the same way our eyes did...i didn't kiss him, he didn't kiss me. from one instance to the next, we kissed each other. Ever since then our eyes have been talking to each other so much that sometimes it seems they are ahead of us, to the point we don't have to say a word...

Eyes are the portal to the soul...and together our souls are free.

The Unfathomable Concept of God

The truly religious person, if he follows the essence of monotheistic idea, does not pray for anything, does not expect anything from God. He does not love God as a child loves his father or mother. He has acquired the humility of sensing his limitations...to the degree of knowing he knows nothing about God.

God becomes to him a symbol in which man, at his earlier stage of evolution, has expressed the totality of that which man is striving for, the realm of the spiritual world, of love, truth and justice.

He has faith in the principles which “God” represents...he thinks truth, lives loves and justice, and considers all of his life valuable inasmuch as it gives him the chance to arrive at an even fuller unfolding of his powers…as the only reality that matters, as the only object of “Ultimate Concern”...and, eventually, he does not speak about God...or even mention his name.

To love God, if he were going to use this word, would mean, then, to long for the attainment of the full capacity to love, for the realization of that which “God” stands for in oneself. submitted by Euler aka Oye Como Va
